Chesse

Been going without cheese for several weeks now. This weekend Don got some cheese dip and I tasted it, had about 2 teaspoons. Then the next morning, even tho I read the ingredients listed on the omelet in the menu, it had cheese in it. Small cafe near the new shop. So I just ate it instead of sending it back.

To my huge surprise it was not as GOOD as usual. I think my craving for cheese has diminished due to non eating. We will probably eat at that little cafe often in the future so I didn't want to send back, just remember it say no cheese please. They put jalapeƱos in it for me yum. I didn't think I could ever survive without cheese but its not as bad as I thought. The very idea used to give me chills. LOL.

I have greatly limited my diet and I feel better for it. Paleo is the way to go, no swollen joints, no daily painkillers. Whistling and humming all day long. I am so glad I can have standard potato chips or veggies chips, they are not made with the best oils, & are too salty, but they are something I can have for a treat. Boiled eggs make great snacks, but it's hard to have them on hand all the time.

You can find good things at health food stores, such as dressings etc. but plain old vinegar and EVOO is great for you. .

Don't forget your wheat grass, and freshly ground flax seeds. But are flax seeds ok? They are a grain need to look that up. I want some sunflower seeds need to look them up under Paleo. Flax seeds oil is ok as is sunflower oil.. Hummm, I need the flax for hormone hot flash prevention.. But guys might not need them.

I haven't weighed since the camper has been getting worked on. Should have weighed last night. But this diet is not about weight so much as it is about feeling good. Not having that puffy look to your face when you look in the mirror.. The cheese didn't kill me this weekend, but even on Paleo it says you can cheat every once in a while.. But when you cheat you can expect low grade headaches the next day, and aches and pains, you can expect to not feel as good.. So you have to decide how much a little cheat is worth.. LOL.

Your body gets used to being without all those chemicals and grains and when you put them back in it says no you don't.. You gotta pay for that. LOL. I am glad to know that corn chips while not on Paleo is a cheat I can have on occasion without suffering the next day. They chemical free and I'm not really sensitive to corn. So when any restaurant here in the south west gives you wonderful hand made salsa  with home made freshly fried corn chips, I can go head, and know the only payment I have later is that the grain is fattening.

Why Do You Ride?

People ask all the time to bikers, Why Do You Ride?  So here it is...

Think about it, you get up in the morning to go to work, you have your coffee. Your still tired, You go out and straddle 120 Horsepower on a 600 or less pound two wheeled machine. You hook up your MP3. You start the bike, the vibrations flow through you from your core, You start the music. It pumps loudly around you.. You blood starts to pick up. No longer tired, You pull out of your driveway..

You can go around all the idiots setting in your way on the road, they are turning left and have to cross traffic, but they are blocking the right lane to the point that a car cannot get out. You are turning right because the road is nicer that way..

You can go around the people in your way cause you are small you fit. You twist that throttle as soon as you hit an open stretch of road. Your bike goes from Zero to OMG... You are smiling.. You drive safely but defensively. There is nothing like the power you have turned on between your legs. You say why? I say you only live once and WHY NOT!.

That is just the basic need to ride, its not mentioning taking the long way to and home from work cause riding relaxes you, makes you feel good deep inside. Its your paxal.

Then there is the community, the bikers who also know... They understand. Then you have the rallies, the vacations the lifestyle that revolves around 2 wheels. The trips.. The long long trips. It does not have to be a Harley, it used to be, but now bikers are more open to different breeds of bike..

Ride ON and keep the shiny side up.

DDR

Checked out the new DDR shop. It is awesome. Such a better place. Professional. They have signed contracts for price and etc. but closing will take till September. Poor Lonnie is dying to get started on it. But you can't do anything till you close.

It has nice offices in the big shop building and 2 office buildings separate from the shop. It has a nice shaded area to park the camper in back with storage containers for our stuff. It will be completely fenced in once they fix some fencing.

The shop is huge and has several bays that most heavy equipment will fit inside, it has swamp coolers on the shop so once you get equipment in they can work in any weather. Don will get a raise and other benefits for moving. He can bring his new mechanic. I don't know what I will do if anything. I won't be needed in the office. There will be plenty for me to do during the switch over phase from the old shop to the new shop. Lots of organizing etc. build some muscles.

It looks promising, with the new building we will get more work cause we will look more capable. The old place is so small it's cluttered and they don't have an indoor building to work on equipment in. It kinda makes you look bad when you don't have enough room to work.

Well I will be glad when we finally get settled and get out of flux. Now if the house would just sell..

Diet and pool guy..

Well everything is going well. I feel so good, I have been whistling and
Humming again like when I was young. I know it's not lack of stress cause we have plenty of stress, with the house up for sale, the auction of all our things at the house, the camper getting fixed. Moving to Phoenix. Couldn't have much more stress, then add Sturgis trip coming up.. Tiger needs her oil changed. And blah blah..

So considering this it has to be my chemical free diet. Have not taken a pain pill in almost a month. Cause I haven't needed it, off my allergy prescriptions except for some OTC Clareaton. Still taking my thyroid meds of course. Getting off grain & legumes has taken all the remaining swelling out of my knee. Paleo Diet rocks health wise. You can feel like a kid again too, just cut out chemicals and go Paleo...

I went to let the dogs out with no shirt on, and whoops pool guy!

BARNEY did not bark at him WTF? I think he was snickering little creep. Luckily he was not looking my way, and with the light I don't think he could have seen anyway. But Barney did not do his job. Gina MinPin

One the mechanics was sick yesterday, came home vomiting both ends. I got the hand sanitizer out and started putting it of extra duty, but it sounds like a food provisioning to me, as he is back to work today.

I hope he feels better, he is a good guy.. We got paid today the office has sent his money to his wife who got her pay card. He didn't get his yet. El Paso mail service thank you. Is ok though he got paid last week so he's not in the poor house.

Changes

Good morning everyone I am not working today, unless something comes up. Going to swim some laps for exercise later as my elliptical is packed away.

We are going to Phoenix to take some of our stuff and some of Dennis stuff and put it in the semi trailer cargo trailer conex thing That the boss has gotten for us to store stuff in. Then we will pick up our camper, bring it back here and start loading the trailer again for more stuff moving. We are suppose to be leaving El Paso the end of this month, we need to get our stuff Moved B4 we leave for Sturgis at the end of the month. Dons tools are the biggest thing that needs moved and I imagine we will move his tools in another conex trailer when we start moving things out of the shop.

The new mechanic is working out pretty good. He seems to know his stuff and is not slow.

I have been holding back posting some stuff. But Glenn is quitting, when we leave El Paso he would have to go try and work with the office people in Phoenix and he really won't be needed as they already have office people there. It's sad. I really won't be needed in Phoenix either, I don't want them to give me a job just because I am Don's wife. But having insurance is really nice. Working part time is all I am doing now to keep my insurance.

I don't know if we have the new DDR yard yet in Phoenix, Lonnie is working on getting it lined out but all the wiring was stolen and he wants it either fixed or money to get it fixed knocked off the purchase price.. If he gets it then we will have lots of work for a long time, moving to the new yard, setting up the shop, etc. plus they have been very busy with work and need good mechanics because they are growing, and running out of room in the old yard.

The lawn people are here, so the dogs have to wait for PP time, but Don puts them out in the morning B4 he leaves. I getting lots of doggie snuggles this morning. Sassy is still in bed, but she wants to get up, she is all the way across the room, so next time I get up she needs to make noise. LOL.

Don put the trunk back on the Suzuki finally after he broke the brake away bolts when he got stuck in the sand. We tried to get more brake away bolts but the dealers around here don't have them so it got regular bolts. I have to order back brakes for my Triumph, if she didn't go so ft she wouldn't need back brakes. I also need to order her pull back risers, we can get cables while in Sturgis so she don't make my hands sleep anymore.

The Auctioneer is done taking stuff from the house, it took him 3 days to get it all. I told him we needed our money by the middle of the month so we can pay our Illinois property taxes and use it for vacation, and hopefully enough to buy a storage shed, for the rest of the stuff in our house. I wish the house would sell and we could pay off the truck, which only has a couple months left.

Well I better go I have lots of stuff to do.,
