To my huge surprise it was not as GOOD as usual. I think my craving for cheese has diminished due to non eating. We will probably eat at that little cafe often in the future so I didn't want to send back, just remember it say no cheese please. They put jalapeƱos in it for me yum. I didn't think I could ever survive without cheese but its not as bad as I thought. The very idea used to give me chills. LOL.
I have greatly limited my diet and I feel better for it. Paleo is the way to go, no swollen joints, no daily painkillers. Whistling and humming all day long. I am so glad I can have standard potato chips or veggies chips, they are not made with the best oils, & are too salty, but they are something I can have for a treat. Boiled eggs make great snacks, but it's hard to have them on hand all the time.
You can find good things at health food stores, such as dressings etc. but plain old vinegar and EVOO is great for you. .
Don't forget your wheat grass, and freshly ground flax seeds. But are flax seeds ok? They are a grain need to look that up. I want some sunflower seeds need to look them up under Paleo. Flax seeds oil is ok as is sunflower oil.. Hummm, I need the flax for hormone hot flash prevention.. But guys might not need them.
I haven't weighed since the camper has been getting worked on. Should have weighed last night. But this diet is not about weight so much as it is about feeling good. Not having that puffy look to your face when you look in the mirror.. The cheese didn't kill me this weekend, but even on Paleo it says you can cheat every once in a while.. But when you cheat you can expect low grade headaches the next day, and aches and pains, you can expect to not feel as good.. So you have to decide how much a little cheat is worth.. LOL.
Your body gets used to being without all those chemicals and grains and when you put them back in it says no you don't.. You gotta pay for that. LOL. I am glad to know that corn chips while not on Paleo is a cheat I can have on occasion without suffering the next day. They chemical free and I'm not really sensitive to corn. So when any restaurant here in the south west gives you wonderful hand made salsa with home made freshly fried corn chips, I can go head, and know the only payment I have later is that the grain is fattening.
